Despite his young age, eleven-year-old Zhong Kui has dedicated himself to becoming an exorcist. He assembles a team of unusual companions: Xiaoyu (a fish-like being) and Huanxi (a ginseng elf). They travel to Luo City, initially intending to continue their charade of tricking people. However, when a real demon appears, throwing the city into chaos and putting everyone in danger, Zhong Kui must rediscover the true power of an exorcist to protect everyone.
